This disc is a gem - buy it!
Reviewer: Dave
I've never listened to a disc and said "wow!" after every song before - until this one. Julia plays amazing piano here and her voice just soars. Her full, but understated arrangements and intense lyrics make this CD a must-have. I can't wait for her new one!

heavenly voice, state-of-art recording quality. a real jewel.

hard to decscribe this CD because it is too perfect. a 5-star performance and sensational recording. it is so blessing to find this CD in today music world.

great voice!

Julia's is a smooth angelic voice as yet undiscovered by mass media. alright, I hate making comparisons, but think qualities of Tori Amos, Sarah M., and Enya... really a great voice! I just wish I could make out ALL the lyrics without having to look at them in print, but this is just the downside of hearing a voice used so beautifully to paint an aural picture. Personally, I would love to hear a few orchestrations to accompany her. The piano work is fine, but I believe some tracks would sound stellar with well orchestrated backup beyond just piano (or synthesised instruments). A prediction.....some small film maker is going to discover Julia Rose, use her on a soundtrack, and everyone will then be treated to her voice as she climbs the charts.

Something Special
Reviewer: Gary McBride
This disc really is something quite special - beautifully performed and recorded. Julia's piano playing is superb and complimented by her ethereal vocals. I am looking forward to hearing more music from this talented individual in the future:)

Breathtaking.

The album is simply stunning; nothing about it seems to fail. Her voice is enchanting and her piano playing is masterful. On top of that, the lyrics are incredible. I always judge lyrics as best if they can be taken out of the song and read on their own and still retain their integrity. All her lyrics stand up to this; so pretty. Highlights are, I think, Black Swan, I Am, Petunia, and Song for Us Trying, though every song is incredible. This is a CD that I want to buy hundreds of copies of and give one to everyone who means something to me (if only I had the money for it ...).

Love it!

Tori Amos meets Eva Cassidy meets Joan Osbourne. This girl rocks!

I'm addicted!!

I just can't stop playing this album. It's been in my CD player since I bought it, and even though I've got a stack of other albums sitting right there, I haven't listened to anything else for a month!

My new favorite album!!!!
Reviewer: Joy
Totally captivating vocals! When I take my long commute to work, I always play this CD. And I become so entranced with Rose's beautifully interwoven vocals and piano that I've more than once missed my exit!

Rose's "arrival" CD is an incredible debut.
Reviewer: Eve
This CD marks an "arrival" to take note of! Rose's voice is truly unique. The lyrics on "Black Swan" are especially poignant. "Song for Us Trying" is the one I find myself (trying to) sing in the shower...
